The Nordic Hydrological Conference on “Water and Climate Change: Impacts and Adaptation” has been implemented from June 3 to 5, 2025, in Reykjavík, Iceland. The conference delved into the effects of climate change on the hydrological cycle and water resources, with a focus on adaptation and mitigation measures essential for responding to ongoing and future changes. The theme proved particularly timely, as the region continues to experience increasingly visible changes in precipitation, temperature, and glacial melt patterns. As in past years, NHC2025 upheld its longstanding tradition of openness and flexibility, welcoming contributions that extended beyond the central theme of climate change and water resources. This inclusive approach enabled participants to share diverse research insights and innovative ideas across the full spectrum of hydrology.
STARS4Water partner National Research Institute for Agriculture, Food and Environment (INRAE) presented the project with a powerpoint presentation entitled: “Adapting the safe operating space concept for water management at catchment scale under climate change”.
The powerpoint presentation is available here.
