The Integrated Drought Management Programme (IDMP), in collaboration with the Earth Observation Training, Education, and Capacity Development Network (EOTEC DevNet), will host a Virtual Exchange focusing on the role of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in Integrated Drought Risk Management. This Virtual Exchange will introduce experiences from several partners who are applying Artificial Intelligence (AI) to support Integrated Drought Risk Management, highlighting both current uses and future opportunities. The exchange will also explore how IDMP can strengthen its role in promoting the adoption of AI for drought management practices.
As part of the event, a Marketplace segment will be hosted, offering participants the chance to present their projects and initiatives.
Pedro Martínez Santos, Teaching and Research Staff at the Complutense University of Madrid and member of STARS4Water team, will present the STARS4Water project with a presentation entitled “MLMapper, a versatile IA tool for spatial mapping in water sciences”.
