SUMMARY:STARS4Water Online Stakeholders’ Workshop "Applying stakeholder-driven tools for climate-resilient river basin management"
DESCRIPTION:This online Stakeholders’ Workshop\, organised by the STARS4Water project\, brings together river basin authorities\, practitioners\, and scientists to exchange experiences on applying stakeholder-driven tools and processes for climate-resilient water management. \nBuilding on the co-creation approach of STARS4Water\, the workshop will showcase how scientific methods\, data services\, and participatory processes have been applied in real river-basin contexts. A central focus will be on learning from practice: how climate risks are assessed\, how tools are embedded into decision processes\, and what lessons can be transferred across basins. \nThe workshop will also provide direct input into the STARS4Water Synthesis Report and the roadmap towards the Final Conference in 2026. \nWorkshop Objectives \n\nShare concrete experiences from river basin stakeholders applying STARS4Water methods\nReflect on climate-risk contexts\, applications\, and uptake pathways\nIdentify best practices\, lessons learned\, and remaining challenges\nGather stakeholder feedback to shape the STARS4Water Synthesis Report and future outreach\n\nPlease save the date and join us in shaping the next steps for water resilience in Europe and beyond. \nThe program is available here: STARS4Water Stakeholders Workshop_program_24Feb2026.

SUMMARY:Conference: "Developing stakeholder-driven solutions for a water resilient river basin management: Connecting Science to Practice"
DESCRIPTION:15-16 th September 2026\, Delft\, Netherlands \nThis Conference\, organised by the STARS4Water project will bring together river basin authorities\, policy makers\, scientific institutions\, and European actors to reflect on advancing climate-resilient water management across Europe. \nThe Conference will focus on the implementation of the EU Water Resilience Strategy\, looking into the practical challenges countries and basins face in strengthening preparedness\, reducing vulnerability\, and building adaptive capacity. A core focus will be on co-creation with stakeholders – demonstrating how linking advanced scientific methods with local knowledge bridges the persistent gap between research communities and basin practitioners. Sessions will illustrate how scientific tools\, modelling frameworks\, and scenario analyses can be tailored to stakeholder needs through an iterative process\, embedded into basin-level decision processes\, and used directly by water managers. \nLearn more and Register here
